PES-51 is listed on the US EPA National Contingency Plan and has been used for over thirty years to clean oil contamination from booms, skimmers, vessels, piers, and rocky shoreline impacted by oil spills. Most recently, BP selected its use in the Deepwater Horizon spill to decon equipment and vessels impacted by the spill.
